Al Horford hails from Dominican Republic but currently plays center for the Boston Celtics. After attending high school in Grand Ledge, Michigan – leading his team to two district titles while holding multiple school records – Al relocated back home for college at Harvard.

Additionally, his father Tito played in the NBA while his brother Jon made brief professional appearances before being placed on inactive list in 2014.
